ROIC supported the British Council in adapting, testing and implementing our Global M&E Toolkit in Jamaica for Social Enterprise in Secondary Schools Programme; a one of a kind project in the Americas. We were the first country office to utilise this toolkit, and with ROIC’s support we were able to reach and gather data from our beneficiaries islandwide at various levels and report back to our funders, partners and stakeholders the impact and reach of our programme. We are now able to utilise the M&E report developed by RIOC to establish future partnerships in line with our business development needs.

Reporting to the CEO, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for leading sales strategy and closing deals for ROIC in Jamaica and the Caribbean. The incumbent will also be responsible for analyzing market conditions and creating strategies to engage existing and potential clients to meet revenue targets.
Job Summary
Reporting to the CEO, the Governance and Operations Officer is responsible for strengthening organizational governance by coordinating the establishment of the Board of Directors, attendant policies, procedures, and terms of reference to ensure the discharge of duties. The incumbent will also lead and coordinate the establishment of human resources, operational policies, and procedures to support a strong governance culture.
Key Responsibility
The Governance and Operations Officer’s primary responsibility is establishing and maintaining the business’s day-to-day administrative, governance, and operational functions.
Governance
• Coordinate the establishment of a Board of Directors and support its functioning
• Coordinate the legal, regulatory, and policy documents necessary for the organization’s functioning
• Support the various committees of the Board and their functions
• Ensure effective strategic and operational planning and reporting over different time horizons
• Develop harmonious relationships with all customers and key internal and external stakeholders
Human Resources
• Coordinate the development of Human Resources Policies and Procedures
• Coordinate the establishment of compensation and performance incentives policy
• Develop clear guidelines for recruitment, talent retention, and continuous development
Planning and Operations
• Coordinate the development of the business plan
• Develop the company’s five-year strategic plan and operational plan
• Coordinate annual budget and operational planning
• Lead the coordinating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and review meetings
Other Duties
Spearhead the development and communication of the following policies:
• Safety and Security policy
• Partnership Policy
• Public Relations Policy
• ICT Private and Security Policy
• Investment Policy

Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a similar discipline
• Five (5) years of working experience in a similar capacity
• Experience in operations, governance, and risk management practices, including local laws, policy and procedural development, and compliance-related functions, is a distinct advantage
Compensation
• 1.5-1.8 Million (JMD) Annually
• Upkeep 720,000 (JMD) Annually
• Plus, any other incentives
