Naketa West

Naketa West ROIC

Ms. Naketa West is a human and social development project manager and Team Building coach. With over 12 years of experience in development, she has worked with both local and international organisations across private and public sectors. She is currently the Local Project Coordinator for the Trust for the Americas. Her career has spanned work with the UNESCO Cluster office for the Caribbean, German Development Agency and she has served as the head of the Victoria Mutual Foundation, youth division of the Ministry of Education and the National Youth Service. Naketa has also led team building and empowerment sessions for Pricesmart, the Jamaica National Bank and the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC).

Naketa is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), she holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology, Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, Mona.

With a passion for service and a life dedicated to philanthropy, Naketa co-founded the M&N Foundation for Aspiring Youths at the age of 21 years old while still in University. She is a Kiwanian and a Distinguished President of the Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals, Kingston Jamaica.

In her down time, she explores her creativity, primarily through poetry, where she published her first book “Dance of Love and Other Verses” in October 2020. She enjoys learning, listening to music, dancing, travelling, experiencing different foods and cultures and enjoying adventures with her family. Her most prized role is being mother to her 10 year old daughter and 20 year old bonus daughter.
